About Me

The wonderful thing about being an osteopath is being able to provide a complete system of care from assessment and diagnosis, to treatment and preventing recurrence and so have the potential to make a difference to the overall health and well-being of that person.

I am grateful that osteopathy allows me the ability to adapt this care to each and every individual. From listening to and understanding your history, investigating and discovering the factors contributing to the development or maintenance of the problem, to being able to diagnose your complaint, and ultimately to treat.
As an osteopath, I don’t just look at the part of your body that hurts, but at your whole body, taking into consideration other aspects of your life that could be contributing to the issues, for example, your postural, ergonomic, exercise and nutritional habits, the emotional and psychological stresses in your life, your gait and breathing mechanics.

Advice to prevent recurrence through self-help and treatment is paramount to maintaining health and I encourage all patients to help themselves through nutrition, exercise, and postural awareness.

I graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in London in 1999 with a BSc Honours degree and have been working in private practice ever since. I work within a team of 4 osteopaths in a long-established practice in the Fleetville area of St Albans. I live locally with my husband and two teenage children and like to keep fit through gym work, running, yoga and pilates practice, together with hiking and ski-ing when possible!

I am registered with the General Osteopathic Council and a member of the Institute of Osteopathy. I am an Arthritis Action practitioner, have trained to use the Neil-Asher Technique and am registered with all major insurance companies.
